My Country's Self-developed Subsea Hose Is Put Into Use in South China Sea Oilfield

On March 20, employees of Shandong Wudi Haizhong Hose Manufacturing Co., Ltd. loaded and fixed a 10-inch submarine hose on the wharf. On the same day, these subsea hoses independently developed by Chinese companies will be transported to Dongfang Oilfield in the South China Sea via Shenzhen Chiwan Wharf and put into use.

The subsea hoses transported to Dongfang Oilfield in the South China Sea this time are static oil and gas mixed transportation types, with a diameter of 10 inches, 5 coils of 7.2 kilometers in total, and a manufacturing time limit of 4 months. So far, the company has produced more than 500 kilometers of various types of subsea hoses, which have been exported to Malaysia, Venezuela, Indonesia and other countries and regions.

This type of pipeline is easy to bend, corrosion-resistant, easy to lay, recyclable, more economical, and more suitable for marine environments. Especially in the case of deep water or short-term mining, the advantages of hoses over steel pipes are more obvious.

In recent years, my country has actively promoted the production of products of various specifications, overcome the soft connection problem between deep-sea oil platforms and ships, and ensured the stability of offshore oil production. Expand the international market and promote the steady increase of overseas market share.
