Installation and maintenance methods of ball valves

Ball valve installation
1, must confirm that the pipeline and valve operation has been cleaned before.
2, the valve's actuator operation according to the size of the input signal to drive the valve stem rotation is completed:Forward rotation 1/4 turn (900), the valve shut off. Reverse rotation 1/4 turn (900), the valve is open.
3,When the actuator direction indicator arrow is parallel to the pipeline, the valve is open; when the arrow is perpendicular to the pipeline, the valve is closed.
Ball Valve Maintenance.
Having a longer service life and maintenance free time will depend on several factors: normal operating conditions, maintaining a harmonious temperature/pressure ratio, and reasonable corrosion data.

Note: Ball valves in the closed state, the fluid pressure in the valve body still exists before maintenance, remove the pipeline pressure and make the valve in the open position
Before maintenance, disconnect the power or gas source
Disconnect the actuator from the bracket before maintenance

1,Packing locking
If the packing culvert is in the micro-leakage filling, the stem nut must be locked.
Note: Do not lock tight, usually to lock the 1/4 ring to 1 ring, the leakage will stop.
2,Replacement of valve seats and seals
A. Disassembly
Leave valve in half-open position and flush possible hazardous materials from inside and outside of valve.
Close the ball valve, remove the bolts and nuts from the flanges on both sides, and completely remove the valve from the piping.
Remove the actuator-actuator, connecting bracket, lockwashers, stem nut, butterfly shrapnel, Gnan, wear plates, and stem packing in that order.
Remove the body cap attachment bolts and nuts, separate the cap from the valve body, and remove the cap gasket.
Make sure the ball is in the "OFF" position, which makes it easier to remove it from the body, and then remove the seat.
Gently push down on the stem through the center hole of the valve body until it is completely removed, then remove the O-ring and packing ring.
CAUTION: Use caution to avoid scratching the surface of the stem and the packing seal of the valve.

B. Reassembly
Clean and inspect the parts that have been checked off, spare parts kits are highly recommended, replace seat and bonnet gaskets and seals. Assemble in reverse order of disassembly
Lock the flange bolts alternately with the specified torque.
Lock the nuts with the specified torque.
After installing the actuator, rotate the valve spool by rotating the valve stem to rotate the corresponding input signal to bring the valve to the open and closed position If possible, after installing the pipeline, seal pressure test and performance test of the valve according to the standard.
