What is a ball valve used for?

Ball valve is a kind of valve to control the flow of media by rotating the ball. Its structure is characterized by: the sphere as the closing element of the valve, around the axis of the valve stem to rotate open or close; the seal between the valve seat and the sphere is realized through the elastic material on the valve seat; the valve stem by transferring torque to control the rotation of the sphere, so as to regulate the flow of the medium.

Ball valves have the advantages of simple structure, easy maintenance, reliable sealing, small flow resistance and long service life, so they are widely used in various industries. The following is the scope of use of ball valves:
1. Petrochemical industry: including oil refining, chemical, natural gas, gas transportation pipelines and other fields, mainly used to regulate the flow of media, cut off the flow of media, prevent backflow, etc..
2. Electric power industry: mainly used in power plant fuel delivery pipeline, turbine water inlet and outlet pipelines, hydraulic systems and other occasions.
3. Pharmaceutical industry: used in piping systems for media control.
4. Food and beverage industry: used in food and beverage and dairy processing flow regulation or fluid cut-off.
5. Paper industry: used in pulp pipeline flow control, to prevent backflow, etc..

Ball valves are also widely used:
1. Manufacturing field: ball valves are often used when fluid control is required in the fields of mold manufacturing, steel manufacturing, machinery manufacturing and so on.
2. Construction industry: can be used in the building water supply, drainage, heating, ventilation, air conditioning and other systems, through the ball valve to control the flow of media.
3. Municipal engineering: ball valves are also often used to control the flow of liquids in municipal engineering in urban water treatment, sewage treatment, water supply and drainage.
4. Agricultural field: in agricultural irrigation also need to use ball valves to regulate the irrigation water flow.
