Maintenance of control valves
Control valve has a simple structure and reliable action and other characteristics, but because it is directly in contact with the process medium, its performance directly affects the quality of the system and environmental pollution, so the control valve must be frequently maintained and regularly overhauled, especially for the use of poor conditions and important occasions, more attention should be paid to the maintenance work.
For the use of control valves in high pressure difference and corrosive media occasions, the inner wall of the valve body, diaphragm valve diaphragm is often subjected to the impact of the media and corrosion, must focus on checking the pressure resistance, corrosion resistance.
Control valve work, due to media infiltration, fixed valve seat with the inner surface of the thread is susceptible to corrosion and loosening of the valve seat, inspection should be noted. For high pressure difference under the work of the valve, should also check the valve seat sealing surface is broken.
Spool is a movable part of the regulation work, by the media scouring, corrosion is the most serious, maintenance should carefully check the spool parts are corroded, wear and tear, especially in the case of high pressure difference spool wear is more serious (due to the phenomenon of cavitation), should be noted. Spool should be replaced when the damage is serious, and should also pay attention to whether the valve stem has a similar phenomenon, or loose connection with the spool.
Diaphragms and 'O' gaskets in control valves should be checked for aging and cracking.
Attention should be paid to the PTFE packing, sealing lubricating grease for aging, mating surface is damaged, should be replaced when necessary.
