Globe valve working principle and characteristics

Classification of globe valves
direct-flow globe valve
In the direct-flow or Y-shaped globe valve, the valve body flow path and the main flow path into a diagonal, so that the degree of destruction of the flow state than the conventional globe valve is smaller, and thus the pressure loss through the valve is correspondingly small.
Angle type globe valve

Plunger globe valve
This form of globe valve is a variant of the conventional globe valve. In this valve, the valve flap and seat are usually designed based on the plunger principle. The two resilient seals are separated by a collar and are held in place around the plunger by the load applied to the bonnet by the bonnet nut. The resilient seals are replaceable and can be made of a wide variety of materials. Function of Globe valves

In addition, globe valves can be used to regulate flow, but it should be noted that globe valves are not suitable for long-term use to regulate pressure and flow because their closed surface may be eroded by the medium, thus destroying their closure properties.
